SOMETHING WITH WORDS AND MELODIES

I saw this blog today and quite seriously almost exploded. And then I downloaded and listened to the ten minute-fourteen second track, and then I actually did explode.



Sufjan Stevens never stops being beautiful. Listening to the first few notes of this song, I was skeptical that it was really him. Electronics? Where's the orchestra? But the orchestra came in bit by bit. I'm surprised and pleased to hear something new from an old love, and am now really really looking forward to his new album.

On another note! I am starting a podcast!

I have no idea what it will be about. Likely it will feature much of Jiggs' and my rambling about whatever we feel like rambling about, plus some hot mixes we'll dance party to at the end. I hope you'll all dance along. So far, we're hosting it here, and in the process of figuring out how to make it available on iTunes. Don't judge us on that webpage just yet, we only set it up a few hours ago. The plan is Thursday night updates, so stay tuned.
