NOT TOO CLASSY

A mere ten days after we elect America's first black president, the Republican National Committee votes in Michael Steele as its chairman- becoming the first ever African American elected to lead the GOP.

Hmmmm. Now, I'm definitely not unhappy with Steele's appointment. I'm actually quite pleased to see a more moderate conservative leading the party. But hasn't this happened before? Weren't we in the middle of trying to elect a Democratic woman for president, when the Republicans decided they wanted a woman of their own? All I'm sayin is that everyone respects originality. Pandering is not too classy, and maybe it's time the Reps realize they're running dry on their own ideas.

Also, I heard Obama is trying to spread the bipartisan love by inviting Republicans to a Super Bowl party at his place this weekend. If the president is not too busy to have a party, maybe I really could afford to spare some time. There is, after all, a new Wipeout on at half-time. Anyone want to come over and drink some girly beer with me?
